What: Governor John Carney will deliver the keynote address at the DANA ‘IMPACT Delaware’ Conference in Wilmington. This annual conference focuses on the leadership capacity needed to address the changing and dynamic social service landscape in Delaware. Leaders from the nonprofit, philanthropic, government, business and religious sectors will come together and take part in dynamic conversations focused on issues that require collective efforts in order to accelerate the change needed to move Delaware communities forward.

Delaware Pathways to Prosperity School Visit
This event is open to the press.
What: Governor John Carney will visit students, teachers and staff at Middletown High School as part of the Delaware Pathways to Prosperity initiative. Delaware Pathways programs are focused on a specific industry-based “pathway” paired with opportunities for students to gain workplace experience while still in high school, graduate with a head start on a college degree or gain qualifications needed to enter the workforce immediately. The Governor will hear from Appoquinimink School District Superintendent Dr. Matt Burrows and Appoquinimink High School Principal Dr. Keisha Brinkley. They will discuss the program’s vision for college and career readiness, speak with students, and visit classrooms.
