Marking Delaware’s Progress in Driving Reentry Success

WHAT: Governor John Carney will attend the launch of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Service’s Mobile Reentry Services Van and will meet with state leaders at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution to review progress improving reentry services for offenders. The mobile services van, which is staffed and operated by DHSS, will offer reentry services to newly-released inmates.

Remarks for Housing Development Fund Awards
This event is open to the press.
WHAT: Governor John Carney will attend the Delaware State Housing Authority’s announcement of the most recent Housing Development Fund (HDF) award recipients. The HDF, Delaware’s housing trust fund, was established to provide affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing to very low, low, and moderate-income households. Six organizations and seven projects across the state are receiving a total of $1 million in HDF funds. The event will be held at one of the properties currently undergoing renovation by 2 Fish Home Renovations, an HDF award recipient organization that provides employment and job development opportunities for formerly incarcerated adults in New Castle County.
