WHAT: Governor John Carney will announce the latest cities and towns receiving a Downtown Development Districts (DDD) designation. To date, $31.6 million in DDD rebate funding has leveraged $597 million in private investment in eight designated downtown districts in all three counties.

Bill Signing – House Bill 65

WHAT: Governor John Carney will sign House Bill 65 with House Amendment 2. This Bill enables the use of roof or ground mounted solar systems on privately owned residential dwellings by making covenants or other restrictions that effectively prohibit or unreasonably restrict the installation of solar photovoltaic systems in Delaware void and unenforceable, regardless of the date recorded.

WHAT: Governor John Carney will sign Senate Bill 63 with Senate Amendment 1. This bill increases the protections under the Delaware Equal Accommodations Laws by prohibiting retaliatory discrimination against an individual for either opposing acts considered unlawful under the Delaware Equal Accommodations Laws or participating in any manner in an investigation to enforce the Delaware Equal Accommodations Laws.
