Dedication of Tulip Tree Woods to the Old Growth Forest Network

This event is open to the press

WHAT: Governor John Carney will deliver remarks at the Old Growth Forest Dedication event, celebrating the dedication of Tulip Tree Woods as part of the Old Growth Forest Network. The mission of the Old-Growth Forest Network is to connect people with nature by identifying and protecting mature forests. Further, the organization seeks to preserve, protect, and promote the few remaining stands of old-growth forest in the U.S. Tulip Tree Woods is one of three dedications being celebrated in each county in Delaware on April 27. Following the ceremony, Governor Carney will plant a tree in honor of Arbor Day.
