Robert F. Kennedy Funeral Train Art Exhibit and Lecture

This event is open to the press.

WHAT: Governor John Carney will attend an exhibition honoring the life and service of Robert F. Kennedy. In 1968, Robert F. Kennedy’s funeral train passed through Newark on its way to Washington, D.C. An iconic photograph of that day shows onlookers at the former Pennsylvania Railroad station, now home to the Newark History Museum. Dutch artist, Rein Jelle Terpstra, will be presenting his years-long project to capture this historic day in the form of videos and photographs taken by the spectators, “The People’s View.”
