Bill Signing – House Bill 104

WHAT: Governor John Carney will sign House Bill 104 surrounded by advocates and members of the General Assembly at Elwyn’s Wilmington location. This legislation is known as the “Michael McNesby Full Funding for Adults with I/DD Act.”

Executive Order Ceremonial Signing – Governor’s Complete Count Commission

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Jack A. Markell Bike Trail

WHAT: The Jack A. Markell trail will officially open on Wednesday, September 5. With the completion of the more than three-mile segment from the Wilmington Riverfront to I-295, the nearly eight-mile multimodal path will allow residents and visitors to run, walk, or bike along the Christina River to the historic town of New Castle on the banks of the Delaware River.
