The Delaware Farm Bureau, in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture, initiated this project to educate students on the importance of farming and agriculture in the everyday lives of Delawareans.

Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Awards

WHAT: Governor John Carney will honor individuals and groups with the 2019 Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Award. The recipients will be recognized for significant contributions, engagement and impact in diverse activities, including mentoring children, supporting people with disabilities, protecting the environment, and assisting seniors, people who are homeless and veterans. The Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Service Awards are sponsored by the Office of the Governor, the Department of Health and Social Services, Division of State Service Centers, the State Office of Volunteerism, as well as the Governor’s Commission on Community and Volunteer Service.
