The construction industry is one of Delaware's fastest growing employment sectors with more than 3,500 job openings expected through 2024.

That's why Governor Carney is hosting a family-friendly Construction Career Expo for students and families to explore a future in the construction industry. The event is free to attend and will provide hands-on learning opportunities and interactive experiences.

Friday, September 21: Governor Carney will join middle school students for hands-on learning activities and interactive experiences.

Families and career-seekers are invited to join us at the Governor’s Construction Career Expo. There will be FREE activities for both youth and adults, on-site job interviews, heavy equipment demonstrations, food trucks, giveaways, and more!

  • YOUTH: Fun, hands-on activities to learn about careers in construction.
  • ADULTS: Looking for a career change? Meet reps from more than 50 local companies, learn about high-wage jobs, and discover skills training opportunities.
