Governor Carney to Sign Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act

This event is open to the press.

WHAT: Governor John Carney will join Vice President Joe Biden, Dr. Jill Biden, Ashley Biden, Representative David Bentz and others at the Biden Institute on the campus of the University of Delaware as he signs into law the Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act. The Beau Biden Act, passed unanimously by the General Assembly, will help restrict access to firearms for those who mental health professionals believe present a danger to themselves or others. The Act mirrors legislation championed by former Attorney General Beau Biden in 2013.
