ANNOUNCEMENT – DNREC Receives National Environmental Protection Agency Award

This event is open to the press

WHAT: Governor John Carney will deliver remarks at an event recognizing DNREC’s accomplishment in receiving the Performance and Innovation in the State Revolving Fund Creating Environmental Success (PISCES) Award. The U.S. EPA recognized 28 water quality treatment projects for excellence and innovation within the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF). The CWSRF is a federal-state partnership that provides communities a permanent, independent source of low-cost financing for a wide range of water quality infrastructure projects. These projects include the NVF Yorklyn Site Wetland Project.

Point in Time Homelessness Survey

This event is open to the press.

WHAT: Governor John Carney will participate in the annual Point in Time Count. Every January, volunteers and community partners join at locations across the state to conduct a point-in-time count of people who are experiencing homelessness. The PIT Count is an important opportunity for communities to better understand and address homelessness. The Governor will join the Wilmington launch site, where volunteers meet before going out in teams.

2018 Delaware Wetlands Conference

This event is open to the press

WHAT: Governor John Carney will deliver remarks at the 2018 Delaware Wetlands Conference in Wilmington. The Delaware Wetlands Conference brings together more than 350 professionals from both public and private sectors. The conference features discussions on wetlands mapping, monitoring, and modeling and highlights the importance of wetlands to coastal preparedness and risk reduction.
