May 4, 2006 – Gov. Ruth Ann Minner issued a proclamation recognizing “Healthy America Week” in support of the National Governors Association’s (NGA) Healthy America initiative. Under the leadership of NGA’s chairman Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, states across the country recognized this week as an opportunity to highlight and promote the importance of citizen health and well-being. Delaware was one of 27 states participating in this part of the NGA’s year-long commitment to health.
