June 16, 2007 – Governor Minner christened the Overseas Long Beach vessel, named after one of the largest commercial ports in the country, during a naming ceremony at Aker Philadelphia Shipyard. The Long Beach is the second ship in the series of 10 Jones Act Product Carriers, which will be built at Aker Philadelphia Shipyard and bareboat chartered to Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. (OSG).
