June 6, 2007 – Governor Minner honored the National Anthem, which kicked off the official dedication ceremony for the Canalfront Park in Lewes. The park area, listed as one of the state’s brownfields due to its environmental degradation, will continue to develop as a collaborative effort and partnership between the state and local municipalities according to Gov. Minner’s Livable Delaware Agenda. Pictured with Gov. Minner (from left to right) are: Secretary John Hughes, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control; Congressman Castle; Tim Winstead, representative for U.S. Senator Tom Carper; and Assistant County Administrator Hal Godwin, Sussex County.
