June 14, 2005 - Gov. Minner signed legislation to reimburse Delaware National Guard members on active duty for life insurance purchased through a federal program. H.B. 69, sponsored by Rep. Peter Schwartzkopf, Sen. Thurman Adams and Rep. Dennis Williams, creates a fund to provide reimbursement for the life insurance premiums paid by guard members who participate in the Servicemen’s Group Life Insurance Program. The initiative was also supported by State Treasurer Jack Markell and Insurance Commissioner Matthew Denn.
