February 7, 2008 – Gov. Minner addressed the audience at the 2008 Delaware Cancer Consortium Retreat in Dover and thanked the Consortium members for their work in the fight against cancer. The Delaware Cancer Consortium is responsible for the creation of such initiatives as the Delaware Cancer Treatment program and the Screening for Life program, which has helped Delaware’s cancer incidence rate decrease four times as much as the national average and cancer death rate decline twice as much as the national rate.
