March 31, 2009 Markell Thanks Vice Chancellor Lamb For His Service to DelawareDOVER – Gov. Jack Markell on Tuesday thanked Vice Chancellor Stephen Lamb for his many years of service to the state. Vice Chancellor Lamb informed the Governor of his decision not to seek reappointment to a second 12-year term on Monday. Vice Chancellor Lamb’s term expires July 28. “The Vice Chancellor’s decision to retire from the Court is a substantial loss to both the Court of Chancery and our state,” Markell said. “Although he is leaving the court, I hope the Vice Chancellor's talents will remain available for public service, and that his contributions to Delaware, which are already significant, will continue. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.” |
