U.S., Delaware Flags To Be Lowered

Flags Lowered in Memory of 9/11 Victims

Dover Gov. Ruth Ann Minner announced that Delaware flags should be lowered to half-staff today, Tuesday, Sept. 11, in memory of those who lost their lives as a result of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. This is in accordance with a proclamation from President Bush to lower the U.S. flags today, which he has proclaimed Patriot Day.

“We each need to take some time today to remember those who lost their lives six years ago as a result of the tragic events of Sept. 11,” Gov. Minner said. “That day forever changed our nation and certainly changed the lives of every person who lost a family member or friend. None of us will forget the events of that day and I ask that you keep those who were lost, their loved ones and the survivors in your thoughts and prayers.”
