Gov. Minner Orders U.S. and Delaware Flags Lowered in Memory of Those Killed in Virginia Tech Tragedy

Dover Gov. Ruth Ann Minner today ordered that U.S. and Delaware flags be lowered to half-staff in memory of those killed in yesterday’s tragic shootings on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. The order is in conjunction with a White House proclamation ordering that U.S. flags be flown at half-staff until sunset Sunday, April 22.

“We are all deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place at Virginia Tech this week,” Gov. Ruth Ann Minner said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who died, as well as to the survivors and their families. This was devastating news for not only the Virginia Tech community but for our nation, as well, and we mourn with all of those personally affected by this tragedy.”
