Gov. Minner Names Rick DiLiberto Chair of Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture
Dover – Governor Ruth Ann Minner has named Richard A. DiLiberto, Jr. as chairman of the Delaware Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture.
DiLiberto is a partner at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, and his practice focuses on personal injury litigation. For a decade, DiLiberto was a lawmaker in the Delaware House of Representatives and served as a ranking member on the Joint Finance, Judiciary, Public Safety and Corrections committees. DiLiberto is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and Widener University School of Law. He and his wife, Faith, live in Newark with their three daughters.
“Rick is a great asset to the Italian Commission and the community,” Sen. Anthony DeLuca said. “As a member of the commission, I am confident he will bring great insight and knowledge to the group based on his reputation as a community leader and history of community service.”
“It is an honor to be able to serve the community in this capacity, and I look forward to working with members of the Commission,” DiLiberto said.
The next meeting of the Delaware Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture will be held on April 30, 2007, at 5 p.m. in the 3rd floor conference room of the Carvel State Office Building. Members of the public who have an interest in promoting Italian American culture and partnerships are invited to attend.
