Gov. Minner Announces Delaware Business Energy Summit
Dover – Gov. Ruth Ann Minner announces that the State of Delaware, in partnership with statewide business organizations, will hold the “Delaware Business Energy Summit” on June 20 at the Dover Downs Hotel & Conference Center. The all-day event includes exhibits by energy consultants and providers, informative break-out sessions and remarks by Gov. Minner.
The Delaware Business Energy Summit gives business owners and leaders the opportunity to gather information and cost-saving advice on the increased cost of energy. The Summit begins at 7:30 a.m. with business networking amid presentations by traditional and alternative energy suppliers, energy consultants, funding sources and more. Break-out sessions are planned throughout the day, which concludes at 4:30 p.m. Included among the break-out sessions are expert speakers on conservation, efficiency, aggregated purchasing, energy audits, funding and tax credits.
Partners for this event include: the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO), the Delaware Energy Office, the Delaware Small Business Development Center, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Chambers of Commerce of Delaware, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), the Delaware Department of Agriculture and the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership (DEMEP).
