Governor Minner Diagnosed With Bronchitis, Laryngitis, Sinus Infection
Dover – Governor Ruth Ann Minner has been diagnosed with bronchitis, severe laryngitis and a sinus infection and will resume her public schedule as soon as she recuperates, her doctor said today.
“I know Delawareans are very interested in how the Governor’s recuperation is progressing, so I’m pleased to say she’s following my orders to get plenty of rest so she can return to work as quickly as possible,” said Dr. Vincent Lobo of Harrington, Gov. Minner’s longtime family physician. “Fortunately, the Governor is of good health overall, which will help her recover in the days ahead. I’ve directed her to clear her schedule through early next week and will have a follow-up consultation with her then to determine when she should return to work.
Gov. Minner sought treatment after battling a cold and laryngitis for more than a week.
“I am doing all that I can to see that I recuperate as quickly as I can,” Gov. Minner said. “I am anxious to return to my regular schedule as soon as possible.”
