Gov. Minner’s first State of the State Address set for January 25th
-- Students from Milford Middle School will be viewing Address live via “Webcast”--
Dover – With the consent of the General Assembly, Governor Ruth Ann Minner has set her first Sate of the State address for Thursday, January 25th at 2 p.m. in the Delaware State Senate Chamber, Legislative Hall, Dover.
Governor Minner will address her legislative priorities, including how to keep our economy strong during a tightening economy, and strong families through improved health care. The governor will also discuss raising student achievement through a new program, to be unveiled during the State of the State.
The address will be broadcast live on the Internet, and students from Governor Minner’s alma mater, Milford Middle School, will view the speech from their classroom computers. The Office of Information Systems, the state’s information technology provider, will be providing the webcast capabilities.
